Dr Emma Seppälä is a leading expert in the science of happiness and how its insights can improve our well-being at work and also make us more productive.
In 2016 she published The Happiness Track: How To Apply The Science Of Happiness To Accelerate Your Success. Drawing on cutting-edge research in psychology and neuroscience, she argues that happiness is the driver of success, not the other way around.
An acclaimed academic, Emma is currently Faculty Director of the Women’s Leadership Program at Yale School of Management. She has also been Science Director of Stanford University’s Center for Compassion and Altruism Research and Education and Co-Director of the Yale College Emotional Intelligence Project at the Yale Center for Emotional Intelligence.
Emma Seppälä regularly advises Fortune 500 leaders and employees on building a positive organisational culture. She has delivered several TEDx talks and spoken at firms including Google, Apple, Facebook, Bain & Co, Ernst & Young, and a United States Congressional Hearing.
Her research and opinion pieces have featured in leading academic and mainstream publications, including Harvard Business Review, The Washington Post, QUARTZ, Business Insider, Stanford Medicine, Psychology Today, Fast Company, Forbes, Huffington Post, MindBodyGreen, Greater Good Science Center, and Scientific American Mind, to name but a few.
