BIOGRAPHY
Samantha Simmonds is a highly experienced TV news presenter, journalist and broadcaster.
For over a decade she presented on Sky News, where she anchored coverage of some of the most prominent stories of recent years. These included the shooting of British MP Jo Cox, the Brexit referendum and the wedding of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. Samantha was also the first British broadcaster to break the news of Michael Jackson.
Samantha now presents on the BBC, where she covers all the main programmes for BBC World News. These include ‘The Briefing’ on BBC 1 and ‘Business Live’ on the BBC News Channel. She has also hosted the ‘One to One’ Series on BBC Radio 4, and appears regularly on the early breakfast programme on BBC Radio London.
Samantha is also co-host of ‘It’s a Grown Up Life’, a podcast for midlife women. The podcast features interviews with personalities such as Samantha Cameron, Kay Burley and Rachel Stevens, and has built up a huge following. She also regularly writes for the national press about parenting and issues around women in the workplace.

Samantha is known for bringing personality, energy, warmth and humour to corporate and motivational events.
She has hosted events such as the Qatar-UK business investment forum alongside the British Prime Minister Theresa May and Qatari Prime Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thanis. She has also hosted the regional investment fund forum for the Department of International Trade alongside Secretary of State Dr Liam Fox, the Sainsbury’s Living Well Forum alongside its CEO Mike Coupe, the Police Federation Conference and Hewlett Packard’s prestigious 100 Club in Barcelona alongside its CEO Meg Whitman.
Examples of her speaking work include a speech about “Fake News” at the Gyldendal publishing house in Oslo; a talk about the “Work-Life Balance Myth” at the Cityparents annual forum; and she has spoken at Deloitte Oslo about Brexit and at Bird and Bird law firm about her career to date.
