Chris Skinner is known as a leading commentator on the financial markets and FinTech. He is the author of the blog the Finanser.com, as well as the bestselling books Digital Bank, ValueWeb and its 2018 sequel Digital Human: the fourth revolution of humanity includes everyone.
ValueWeb describes the impact of FinTech and how mobile and blockchain technologies are changing the face of finance in building an internet of value. As a result of the emerging internet of value, banks have to become digitalised, and Digital Bank provides a comprehensive review and analysis of the battle for digital banking, as well as strategies to help companies compete.
Digital Human, released in March 2018, builds on these two themes to look at the wider picture of digitalisation. It explores the transformations that are sweeping through all spheres of life: the domination of global digital giants; the advent of new financial structures; the disruption brought about by Bitcoin; the rise of robots; and the fall of banks.
