BIOGRAPHY

Hannah Fry is a Professor of Mathematics at UCL where she studies patterns in human behaviour researching a wide range of social problems and questions, from shopping and transport to urban crime, riots and terrorism.

With her sass, wit and fearless nature, Hannah’s broadcast work includes podcasts and television shows including BBC Two series The Secret Genius of Modern Life and The Future With Hannah Fry for Bloomberg, as well as a plethora of other documentaries, radio shows and podcasts.

Hannah is a regular columnist for The New Yorker and has written several books, including Hello World: How to be Human in the Age of the Machine.

In 2024, Hannah Fry was made Cambridge University’s first ever Professor of the Public Understanding of Mathematics.
