BIOGRAPHY
Dame Inga Beale is an experienced business leader having spent nearly four decades in financial services. From 2014 to 2018 her final executive role was as CEO of Lloyd’s of London. She now has a portfolio of non-executive roles.
During her 5 year tenure at the 330-year-old financial institution of Lloyd’s, Dame Inga took on many of the traditions that had held the organisation back.
She modernised the market with the introduction of technology and, understanding the vital importance of inclusion in the workplace, she challenged the traditional “boys club” culture to make it a much more inclusive environment for all.
Dame Inga started her career in London in 1982, qualified as an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute in 1987 and is a Chartered Insurer.
She was awarded her Damehood in 2017 for services to the UK economy and for her work supporting women and the LGBTQ+ community.
Her philanthropic interests include being Patron of Insuring Women’s Futures, a not-for- profit aimed at improving women’s lifelong financial resilience.
