BIOGRAPHY
James Kanagasooriam is Chief Research Officer at Focal Data, a data science consultancy.
He is also a researcher at UK in a Changing Europe and serves on the board of Onward, a centre-right think tank.
Previously, James was CEO of Stack Data Strategy, a company he co-founded. He has played key roles in political campaigns, including contributing to Ruth Davidson’s Scottish Conservatives’ successful 2017 election.
James is known for his expertise in political polling, demographic analysis, and electoral strategy, particularly focusing on ethnic minority voting patterns and the concept of the ‘Red Wall’ in British politics.
