Tamara Lohan MBE, is the Co-founder & Chief Executive Officer of Mr & Mrs Smith, the revolutionary boutique hotel specialists.
An entrepreneur with a background in marketing, Tamara Lohan co-founded Mr & Mrs Smith with her husband, and has been responsible for evolving the company’s digital infrastructure ever since.
The firm pivoted from publishing house to online travel agent in 2005 and as CTO, she oversaw the development of its in-house booking engine and proprietary availability-management systems, alongside its iOS app, Alexa voice skill and responsive global website. In 2016, Mr & Mrs Smith made its first acquisition, a villa company, and in 2018 added a second: an experiences company called SideStory.
Today, Mr & Mrs Smith operates from offices in London, New York, LA, Ibiza and Singapore, and has more than 1.5 million members worldwide. Tamara has received an MBE for services to the British travel industry. In 2018 the firm raised £6m through crowdfunding on Crowdcube – it was both one of the fastest and highest raises seen on the platform to date.
At the height of the pandemic, Tamara Lohan took over as CEO of Mr and Mrs Smith and continues to lead the company’s digital evolution.
